Oruaiti School win Environmental and Sustainability Awards :)

Today we have won the Environmental and Sustainability School Award... That means we get a cash prize of... 20000... That's a lot of money! The awards was presented by Jacinda ardern. 

We will be using the money for the school!!

Our crazy pet day!

 For pet day we were making some awesome art and everyone did amazing. It wasn't even about winning                           its about having fun. so YAAAAAA. (here are some photos of my art work) 

                                                For pet day I made this hunting camp ground.   

                             I made a cute turtle and named it turtes. He was very cute but soon I'm a eat it.

and this is my dog borris i made out of clay yesterday. It took me forever but ill soon take it home.

The big wave

It was ,may ,24th,2013. It was a sunny day, a time to

go for a lovely fish. I couldn't wait. I wanted to catch

some moon fish!

I know it's hard to find them but I found the perfect

spot where my family used to catch moon fish.

Knowing it was really flat, flatter than it has been in

a while, I still decided to go… now telling the story

I regret going on the water that day.

Well anyways I hopped in the boat and went off.

I know it's not the best idea but still…

We arrived right where we got the moon fish

,then I looked in the distance.

“That's weird” I whisper there this big wave coming…

that's random. I moved a bit closer to the big wave.

I realized then that there was a txunamy I didn’t

realize today was the day that I might DIE but I mean for sure I could survive!

I was hit by the wave. I could just hear my boat

breaking. I tried swimming up for help but it was

hopeless… I finally made it to the top of the surface.

The water was pulling me everywhere!

I did know what to do except go with the flow.

This was the scariest time of my life.

My mind was black I couldn’t think then all of a

sudden I stood on top of a bridge and saw my boat

broken in half.

 

Life's hard now but I still love it.
